Birthday Haul…

So It was my birthday the other day and I thought I would share with you a few of the things I was so very kindly gifted. I haven’t included everything but it gives you a pretty good idea. I’m not really one for posting hauls but people loved it when I posted last year. You can find that here Birthday Haul…

Like any birthday you get the useful thing like socks, lip balm, nail varnish remover, chocolate (all essentials of course). They may seem like boring items but as I get older it’s these kinds of presents that are really useful. To be honest the only thing I really asked for this year was an academic diary (lame I know). But since leaving uni last year, then teaching I’ve always need a diary to write things like hours and reminders into. Because of this I have just carried on using academic type diaries. (Pictured Below).

I also received some lovely gifts from my friends (thanks guys)! First up is this super cute money box (pictured above). These are really useful as I currently have loads of change in bags that isn’t enough to actually take to a bank, so I can keep it in this instead of random places around my room. I was also gifted a super cute photo cube & a Tokyo T-shirt from Urban Outfitters that I haven’t pictured as I am a bad blogger and my camera died without me realising it didn’t take a photo (stupid I know). I’m looking forward to wearing the top with maybe some jeans or a skirt on a night out or to the pub. I am actually really excited because Urban Outfitters is going to Cheltenham really soon!! Im sure I will spend way to much money on their beautifully over priced items! And last but definitely not least this super cute notebook shown above. If you follow me you’ll know I love me a notebook… or 2 o 3 or 6! I just don’t know what it is about cute notebooks or sketchbooks but I just love them and have to collect them all.

This year I also brought myself a few little items because why the hell not!! ‘Treat Yourself’! Firstly I brought this leather backpack when I was on holiday a few weeks ago. I’ve wanted a bigger backpack for a while but also wanted a leather bag so ended up killing two birds with one stone with this one. I am planning on doing a ‘What’s In My Bag’ post very soon so Im sure you’ll see more of this dude!!

Up next is a not so little thing!! I have been putting money aside for months to get myself one of these and the other day I just went and got it! My baby Apple Macbook Air. I love it! Its my precious child!! It’s so easy to use. Plus It has made me so excited to use it for blogging, dance & everything else. I can’t wait to start planning things!! I love it! I also got myself a subscription to the Blogosphere magazine. It is full of s many handy tips I have no idea why I hadn’t considered getting it before!!DSC02367

So there you go another birthday over for another year and a mini haul to go with it! Thanks to everyone who wished me happy 22nd birthday and happy 2nd blog birthday!

Thanks for taking a look!

(Im sorry my pictures are rubbish I am trying to sort my lighting and the way I take this kind of photo)

  1. Happy Birthday – simple, useful, and elegant – all at the same time. I use a MacBook with school now and I never, ever, ever, thought I’d use Mac but once I got the hang of it, I feel so sophisticated. Whenever you open it, you feel like an author and it makes you want to go to the coffee shop and type something. I’ve never heard of Blogosphere magazine, because I’m not in the know. I’ll check it out.

  2. Huuuuuge HAPPY BIRTHDAY, spread it out over a week and enjoy every day with the gifts and chocolate and birthday vibes. Lovely gifts for you to receive, very thoughtful ones. And the self-treating is a must, and you’ve done very well (MacBook?! Waaah, very nice!) Also love that bag, I’d like something similar to actually have a backpack that’s neat (not hugely bulky) but also zips up for security. Have fun with the new Mac 🙂

  3. Happy Belated Birthday! How did you spend the day itself? Enjoy the MacBook Air! I have never had a Macbook before but I know so many people that swear by them, especially students. I have never read Blogosphere Magazine – would you recommend? xx
